Mid UI Designer

We’re headquartered in Brighton, with our teams working remotely across the UK.

**The Role**

With the overview of our senior product designers, you will take ownership of some projects, including planning tasks, estimating, communicating progress or blockers in stand-ups and preparing your designs for handovers to the dev team. You will be in constant interaction with other team members, departments and clients.

You will be responsible for updating and maintaining the well-established design system alongside the other designers in the team. This will involve being a voice for the design system, its rules and processes to clients and external teams.

You will be responsible for presenting your work to stakeholders and making them see the positive impact of your designs. Your work will be outcome-focused, user-centred and data-informed. You will share your work early and often, seeking feedback from across the board and participating in design reviews.

You will be part of a talented team of Designers, Researchers, Developers, Account Managers and Project Managers.

Your Manager will help you achieve your goals and enable you to create your best work. You will have regular 1-2-1 sessions and a training budget to ensure you get the best out of your time at Graphite and build upon your existing skillset.

**Your responsibilities**
- Support our senior product designers in maintaining and growing our design system for this key account.
- Working closely with our UX designers to produce high-fidelity journeys that utilise the design system and ensure a consistent approach.
- Work with researchers, developers and CS to refine the final product.
- Plan and estimate BAU tasks with the project manager and senior product designer.

**Skills Required**:

- Figma & Sketch experience is an absolute must.
- Creating or working with design systems, especially projects that are linked to libraries.
- Some understanding of usability and accessibility in web
- You are able to recognise and act on pain points and opportunities within customer journeys.
- You have some understanding of Design Thinking, UX and research
- You have experience presenting your work to the team.
- Desirable but not essential: Experience working in multidisciplinary teams (UX designers, UI designers, Researchers)
- Desirable but not essential: You have worked in Pharma and Healthcare.
- Desirable but not essential: You have worked with software such as Abstract and Sketch.
- Desirable but not essential: You have experience with Jira.

**Salary**

£28,000 to £34,000 a year (Depending on experience)
