Lab Technician

We are currently recruiting a Lab Technician for a client based at Wilton, who are the world's leader in their field and have over 40 years' experience.
This is a temporary contract for approximately 12 months working full or part time.
**Duties**:

- Provision of expert experimental support for R&D initiatives and technical support activities within the intermediates polymer business
- Raising any compliance concerns immediately with safety as the number one priority
- Performing laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations and pilot plant units
- Performing calibrations, maintenance and troubleshooting on laboratory equipment
- Carrying out method development on laboratory techniques
- Designing, building and operating glassware-based laboratory experiments for operational process improvements
Essential:

- High awareness of the risks associated with hazardous chemicals and high temperature equipment and experience in writing and adhering to COSHH and risk assessments
- Proven ability to plan experimental work, deliver the plan, maintain high quality detailed written records and report results
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and thorough record keeping, maintaining accurate and clear records
- Ability to maintain and calibrate technical equipment
