Our client is a globally respected engineering organisation, providing white collar, Blue collar and engineering services to many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence. On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a **Finance Manager** for a **12 months** contract based in **Derby**,hybrid working**(2 days a week in the office).**

**Purpose of the Role**:
The Central Businesses organisation supports Civil, Defence and RRPS sectors with a range of services. The main constituents of are:
Global Business Services (GBS), which is a multi-functional service delivery organisation bringing together expertise from Finance, HR, Property, HSE, Procurement and General Counsel:

- Global IT, managing IT infrastructure and investment;
- Head Office (HO);
- Innovation Hub (IHub), which is our community focused on pursuing new technologies, ideas for new products and business development;
- Corporate, which includes site HQ balances and transactions.

The combined Central Business employs ~2,500 people in a number of countries and manages over a billion pounds of spend each year., predominantly based in the UK, USA, Germany and Singapore. With a strong commitment to cost transparency, we work in partnershipwith our empowered business Sectors to deliver efficient, effective market-leading services which bring real value to Rolls-Royce.

**As a Finance Manager you will be responsible for**:

- The internal financial control environment, ensuring compliance with internal and external audit policies.
- Ensuring that statutory reporting requirements are met for all legal entities within Central Businesses.
- Developing good relationships with other members of the Rolls-Royce Finance community. Key relationships include: Finance Business Partners for GBS, IT, IHub and Head Office; regional Finance Managers; Group Finance team; Head of Internal Controls.
- Key point of contact for external auditors and internal controls team.
- Providing ad hoc reports, assessments or presentations as required.
- Well organised and competent in understanding issues and getting to the heart of a problem fast.
- Able to work effectively globally, develop relationships and influence people to drive outcomes.
- A personable, driven, qualified accountant and effective communicator.
- Good excel and powerpoint skills.
- Hands-on knowledge of key Rolls-Royce finance systems, including HFM and VBM is desirable but not essential.
