Our client is looking for an enthusiastic & motivated Communications Officer who wants to make a difference and join its Waste and Transformation Team at a pivotal point.

Your role will be front and centre in helping to shape support and deliver a new transformation through your exceptional communication engagement & relationship skills. You will need to be able to encourage and support the behavioural change of residents & businesses across the county by working with anybody and everyone to make sure that this happens successfully.

**Main skills sets required**:

- Ability to create and deliver effective and engaging content, tailored to a range of media and engagement channels for specific target audiences
- The ability to work to tight deadlines to support the organisation's communications needs
- Provide engaging communications across a range of areas utilising relevant platforms; including internal, external, stakeholders (including members and the third and voluntary sector media and PR companies and with our Corporate Communications Team
- Produce engaging proactive communications, including ensuring processes are in place to identify and deliver proactive content, maximising opportunities for the delivery of “Waste” messages and to be able to identify outlets
- Familiar and confident with digital marketing including social media, using a wide range of digital and non-digital communication channels
- Demonstrable experience in campaign planning and project management that delivers proactive campaigns to support a busy implementation schedule
- Strong IT literacy skills including being competent in the use of the MS Office suite of products
- They are looking for someone who has experience in delivering positive and successful outcomes and someone who can use
- Project management experience is desirable
- You should be a self-starter and use your initiative to work independently

**_ Please note,_**_ the ability to travel independently around the county is _**_essential _**_and weekend working may also be expected on some occasions._
