Creative Support, a not-for-profit provider of social care services, is pleased to be working in partnership with Blackburn with Darwen Council to continue to provide a Community Resilience and Wellbeing Recovery service. The service provides community supportto people with a range of support needs including mental health issues, learning disabilities, drug and/or alcohol misuse issues and people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The service is based in central Blackburn and covers Blackburn and Darwen.

As a Senior Support Worker you will work alongside the team Coordinator to coordinate the provision of outcome-focused, targeted support. You will be assisting the Coordinator in managing referrals and assessments, you will oversee the provision of a highlyresponsive service that enables service users to develop and maintain essential life skills and focuses on empowering people to develop the confidence to live independently in the community.

You will seek out new opportunities for partnership working, ensuring people have access to services that are beneficial for their emotional, physical and financial wellbeing. Our services provide a community interface for the service where service userscan access a range of services including drop-in advice and guidance, resources and signposting, computer facilities, planned workshops, activities and peer support networks.

As a Senior Support Worker you must have a professional approach with the ability to supervise, coach and guide the staff team to deliver a consistently personalised service. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will haveexperience within a community-based support service is essential and you will have the ability to maintain excellent records and meet monitoring requirements. A car driver/ owner is essential for this role.

37.5 hours per week ( part time hours would be considered: with a minimum of 22.5 hours per week). The hours are mainly 9.00-5.00pm Monday - Friday but do cover bank holidays
