My client who is a large Housing Association are looking for a Building Technician/Fire Alarm Tester to ensure the safety within their buildings covering the areas within the M25. You will be provided a work van so would need a full UK driving license. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting weekly bell testing, monthly and annual emergency lighting testing, and other compliance-related checks as required.

**Duties include**:

- Perform weekly fire alarm bell testing on communal systems in accordance with BS 5839, including activation and resetting of fire alarm systems. Record test results in an onsite log book or electronic recording system (PDA).
- Conduct monthly and annual emergency light testing in communal areas following BS 5266 guidelines to ensure proper luminaire function.
- Report any identified faults or service failures to the contact center
- Execute other compliance-related services as necessary, documenting visits through the PDA. These services may encompass various activities like low usage outlet flushing, site inspections, and general building compliance checks.
- Perform daily vehicle checks, including monitoring oil levels, water levels, tire condition, and more. Clean the vehicle inside and outside at least once per week. Report vehicle defects following local procedures.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Education to GCSE Standard (or equivalent), with passes in English and Maths.
- Full driving license with
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety protocols.

**Salary**: £29,500.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
