Full time/Permanent

Monday to Thursday (4 days per week)

**Salary**: £13.50 per hour plus shift allowance £2.50

**About the role**:
As a result of business growth, we now operate a second shift which requires supervision of the paint line and production areas. This role is spread across both areas allowing the finish of the painted parts to be checked, packed, and loaded on the courier for delivery and the production of parts to continue into the next day’s production. The role puts you directly responsible for 3 employees and completing report sheets for the next day’s shift.

This is a great opportunity to learn new production skills through our internal training program.

**Duties for the paint line will include**:

- Ensuring all relevant jobs for the shift are completed
- Monitoring paint line density keeping it at a high level
- Lining up sufficient cover for breaks
- Reporting to your line manager any errors in inventory
- Monitoring quality control and ensuring every product is painted to the best possible standard
- Making sure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities for the day
- Ensuring all finished jobs are scanned using the system

**Duties for the production will include**:

- Ensuring all production operations are scanned and complete on the system
- Monitoring K.P.I set for the team
- Quality checking all work.
- Maintaining health and safety
- Ensuring all work areas are cleared for next day’s production
- Booking collections with the couriers
- Fettling, cutting, bending, gluing and swaging of products ready for the next days work
- Occasional warehouse work as and when required during quieter period

**About you**:

- This person must be a strong minded individual with proven experience of managing a small team.
- It is vital this person is proactive, physically fit, quick thinking and a good problem solver.
- They must be able to read and write to a high standard.
- They must also be a good communicator and be able to take and give orders.
- Knowledge of powder coating would be useful.
- Forklift licence advantageous.

**Notes**

Initially shadowing the existing day team with a view to being fully skilled and operating independently.

**Salary**: £13.50-£16.00 per hour
