We are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in the Berkshire area to appoint an Assistant SEN officer on an interim contract.

The role is on a temporary basis for 3-6 months but this is highly likely to be extended on an ongoing basis.

The position of Assistant SEN Officer is to support the SEN team in processing Annual Reviews and dealing with casework.

You may also be required to take on other supporting tasks in the team to meet the statutory duties such as ceasing, initiating, processing and maintaining EHC plans for Children and young people between the ages of 0 - 25 years old

If you have experience working as Business support officer or administrator for a Local authority and have good working practice of a SEND statutory service, we would love to hear from you

**Duties include**:

- Supporting the Annual Review process to ensure it is carried out efficiently, consistently and in line with the statutory requirements set out in the Children and Families Act and the SEN Code of Practice.
- Communicating annual review decisions to families and young people.
- Monitoring and ensuring that annual reviews are undertaken in a timely manner.
