Mitie are currently seeking an enthusiastic, focused, and knowledgeable dedicated relief Security Control Room Operator to join one of its most prestigious contracts in Central London.

The Security Control Room (SCR) must be staffed 24-hours per day, 7 days per week. The Security Control Room Operator is responsible for using best practices to identify, analyze, and support all incidents that are either impactful or potentially impactful to business, the brand and or employees. This position is responsible for using best practices for communicating information surrounding those incidents to the Security Control Room Supervisor as appropriate. The Security Control Room Operator will monitor cameras and alarms, dispatch associated calls via telephone and radio, operate access control technology. The Security Control Room operator will escalate both crisis and non-crisis incidents to the Global Security Operations Centre for regional overall as per standard operating procedures.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Answering routine calls, monitoring alarms and video equipment including door alarms and provides general assistance to both employees and guests
- Dispatching security officers as required via telephone and/or radio or messenger
- Maintaining various records of communications and events
- Communicating and disseminating information, using established communication vehicles, to the Global Security Operations Centre
- Acting as a liaison between the Global Security Operations Centre and the Physical Security Department
- Escalating (without delay) complaints and unusual/critical event information to the Security Control Room Manager and Global Security Operations Centre
- Accurately maintaining control of all equipment and keys in the Control Room. Accurately logs all equipment and keys signed out and returned by Security or other parties
- Informing (without delay) the SCR Manager / GSOC Supervisor of any missing, damaged, or inoperative equipment or communications, alarm, CCTV, or other systems
- Proactively monitoring all surveillance cameras and CCTV remote viewer programs. Monitors and responds to all security and safety system alarms
- Answering and responding to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones and intercoms. Controls and monitors the two-way communication systems and escalates all incidents to the Global Security Operations Centre

**Desirable Experience and Qualifications**:

- Experience working within a Security Control Room
- Strong experience in use of CCTV systems. SIA CCTV licence would be advantageous
- Strong experience in use of access control systems
- Flexible schedule is essential for this position

- £15.45 p/hour
