At British Red Cross, we put people at the heart of what we do and that’s what this role is all about. You'll be a friendly face to someone who may be struggling to do things for themselves due to age, illness, or vulnerability. It’s not just a job, but an amazing way to give back to your community**.**
**What does a **day in the life of a Support Worker involve?**
- Acting on referrals from Daisy Hill Hospital to collect patients who are ready for discharge.
- Transporting patients home using a British Red Cross vehicle.
- Ensuring patients are settled at home following their hospital discharge.
**What do you need to be a successful Support Worker?**
- Are you thoughtful, caring and patient and have a natural way with vulnerable people?
- Do you some experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting?
- Are you able to manage your own workload?
- Are you IT literate?
**Please note, there is no personal care or administration of medication required in this role.**
