You could make a difference to someone's day by assisting their discharge from Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry. At British Red Cross, we put people at the heart of what we do and that’s what this role is all about. You'll be a friendly face to someone who may be struggling to do things for themselves due to age, illness, or vulnerability. It’s not just a job, but an amazing way to give back to your community**.**

**What does a **day in the life of a Support Worker involve?**
- Acting on referrals from Daisy Hill Hospital to collect patients who are ready for discharge.
- Transporting patients home using a British Red Cross vehicle.
- Ensuring patients are settled at home following their hospital discharge.

**What do you need to be a successful Support Worker?**
- Are you thoughtful, caring and patient and have a natural way with vulnerable people?
- Do you some experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting?
- Are you able to manage your own workload?
- Are you IT literate?

**Please note, there is no personal care or administration of medication required in this role.**
