**Karmelle Ltd** have an opportunity for an experienced **Mechanical Engineer / Fitter**to join our growing team, based in **Huddersfield, West Yorkshire**. You will join us on a permanent, full-time basis, with a **competitive salary dependant on experience.**

It’s why we make most of our components ourselves in our well-equipped workshop and source the rest as locally as possible.

**About the Mechanical Engineer / Fitter role**:
Reporting to Karmelle’s Workshop Manager, you will be part of a close-knit and supportive team of engineers. While our workforce has grown year on year, we remain a family business at heart, and your contribution will make a real difference.

Thanks to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer / Fitter to join Karmelle. Offering the chance for progression, this is a varied and challenging role, which will see you work across a range of projects.

**Day to day duties of ourMechanical Engineer / Fitterinclude**:

- Assisting with the assembly of bespoke filling, capping and labelling machinery
- Installing and commissioning equipment onsite
- Reading from technical drawings, and assembling our packaging machinery using mechanical fitting skills

**Knowledge and experience required to become ourMechanical Engineer / Fitter**:

- Experience of building industrial machinery
- Basic skills in pneumatic logic, electric control, and problem finding
- Experience of reading CAD drawings
- At least 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer
- Clean driving licence
- While this role is based in Huddersfield, you will occasionally be required to travel around the country and should be willing to work away from home for short periods of time
- Experience of working with mechanics, pneumatics, and electrics is desirable
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment and working with packaging equipment would be beneficial
