**About the role**:
This role has been created through internal promotion.Reporting to the Category Manager, the role will manage the Beauty category through market research, range selection, assortment planning, brand sourcing, and supplier relationships.The Buyer willrepresent the category and the company by maintaining positive relationships with suppliers whilst negotiating terms and pricing.

Key areas of responsibility include:

- **Vendor management**- end to end management including sourcing new suppliers and negotiation
- **Range management** - full management by cruise line/ship, working closely with merchandising and suppliers to review accordingly, as well as global promotional programmes

The role will **work cross functionally** across Harding, specifically with Merchandising, Marketing, Operations and Visual Merchandising to ensure product supply, stock, promotions and positioning of product on board.

**About you**:

- Proven **Retail Buying**experience preferably within Beauty / Cosmetics / Fragrance
- Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
- Good presentation and face to face communication ability required, with proven negotiation skills
- Adaptable attitude towards change, opportunities and project management as required
- Strong IT skills including Excel and PowerPoint
- Structured planning, organisation and time management skills
- A team player who relishes the opportunity of working within an entrepreneurial environment and delivering results against challenging targets
- Must have an existing right of eligibility to work in the UK
