**Company description**
We are a unique facility offering various dog related services which includes:, dog training, dog grooming, dog and cat boarding and enclosed fields for hire for dog walking. We specialise in working dog training such as patrol dogs and scent detection dogs so work with all shapes and sizes.
Job:
Your primary role will be interacting with the dogs ensuring they receive lots of enrichment, such as taking them to our enclosed play areas but also getting involved with training, cleaning, feeding and other routine enrichments such as grooming.
You will get to interact with a variety of dogs from fluffy puppies through to protection shepherds, we believe its crucial to build up a relationship with our regular customers and by having that bond will aid in them having the best visit possible.
Your role will also include taking part in dog training as many of our guests have training added on or take part in our intensive residential training. We offer a variety of 1 to 1 training through to residential programmes, with the potential to begin classes so the applicant must be patient and empathetic towards a variety of personalities such as nervous rescues, excessive jumpers, barkers and everything in between.
You will be based onsite but from time to time we do take dogs to parks, live stock locations or depending on the training requirements or behaviour issues.
- Be able to handle and have empathy for nervous and various sized dogs
- Delivering outstanding customer service to clients
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and care of the equipment at all times
- To be able to take deposits and bookings over the phone and monitor online appointments (training will be given)
- walking, playing and keeping pen and play areas clean for the dogs staying for the day
About you:
- You must work well in a team and alone using initiative
- You must be a confident person who feels comfortable talking to customers on a daily basis and able to give clear handovers of the dogs visit
- You must have work experience and a qualification in animal care
- Have good organisation and time keeping skills
- We are based away from public transport links so own transport will be required
Shifts may included weekends and holidays.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week
**Salary**: £6.83-£10.50 per hour
