**Everything you need to know**

The role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will have overall strategic responsibility for all Financial Performance, Reporting & Analysis across Severn Trent to support Board and Executive committee decision making in both the short/medium term (in year), and longer-term forecasting across our future 5-year business cycles.

You’ll also be responsible for providing effective finance business partnering to key business units; Chief Engineer (CE), and Business Support functions and Sustainability across Severn Trent, to deliver their financial objectives and will involves partnering with their respective executive member and their leadership teams.

You’ll be the CFO’s ‘go-to’ on all financial decisions, including investment decisions, and growth opportunities. To provide accurate analysis at pace, taking into consideration all the fundamental value drivers of the business so that decisions can be made quickly, based on the right information.

The role has 6 direct reports and a team of around c.20 people in total through your leadership you’ll set out the vision of what a genuinely brilliant FP&A function looks like, and lead the function in delivering that vision to build a trusted and well-loved brand internally across the Exec, the SMT and the Board

Finally, the role will also be part of the Severn Trent senior management team, contributing not just to our Finance leadership, but the overall leadership and running of the business.

**What you’ll bring to the role**

We’re looking for a qualified finance professional with experience working at a senior finance level in a commercial, competitive environment - preferably within an asset intensive or regulated environment (although not essential).

You’ll have significant FP&A experience and be used to building effective working relationships with a diverse range of senior stakeholders (including board and executive level) and have strong business partnering experience at all levels

As a leader you will be used to inspiring teams, utilising their knowledge and helping them put in place the processes and structure needed to deliver a step change in performance.
