Social Media Executive

As one of Dorset’s leading digital marketing agencies, we design and manage the websites, online marketing and business systems for a large number of clients across Dorset and further afield. To help achieve our goals, we’re looking for an experienced Social Media Executive to join our Marketing team.

We are seeking an individual with fantastic proven social media experience and a passion for content creation and strategy, along with the confidence and people skills to build strong relationships with our clients and team.

In this role, you will be an integral part of our social media team, and have the opportunity to further develop your skills & knowledge. You will manage a number of client accounts by implementing new social strategies, delivering new content ideas to clients, develop key client relationships and manage their platforms, both organic and paid.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with clients and our internal team to devise & deliver engaging and results
- driven social media content that meets client objectives
- Design, maintain and monitor clients’ social media profiles
- Create content calendars for all social clients
- Craft engaging posts, including video, in a creative way that demand attention
- Optimise content for intended platform and research & refine audience
- Help to develop and execute a cohesive paid social media service for our clients
- Help to run community management on accounts
- Help to communicate with social media clients on their account, occasionally out of hours in emergency situations
- Assist with new business opportunities including development of strategy, creative campaigns and presenting of ideas to prospects
- Help to build strategic relationships with relevant partners and influencers to strengthen our social media offering
- Ensure accounts are managed commercially - on-time and on-budget
- Continuous monitoring of social media communities / groups / forums for the benefit of our clients
- Timely management of all interactions with social accounts
- Design & implement social media re-marketing campaigns
- Implement Facebook Pixel on all accounts
- Help account managers to analyse, track and measure performance against KPIs and report on monthly social campaigns
- Help to ensure monthly social reports are completed on time, analysed & sent to client
- Stay current with social media trends and tools - includes attending networking and educational events, reading blogs, and listening to podcasts as required
- Identify opportunities and help to bring in extra work / up-sells to achieve team monthly target
- Demonstrate continuous learning about social media, and the general digital and marketing landscape and pass this knowledge onto the team

Requirements of the role:

- Proven experience in working in a digital or social media agency: 3+ years
- Track record in planning and delivering social content
- Ability to think strategically and develop social media strategies
- Strong experience of executing paid social media campaigns
- Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format
- Willingness to be 'on call' for our clients out of hours when social media emergencies arise
- A highly organised, enthusiastic and positive approach
- Strong copywriting and presentation skills
- Design / photoshop skills an advantage
