**Here's what you'll be up to**:

- Leading a High-Performing Team: You'll be the captain of our Accounts Payable A-Team, ensuring everyone understands their role and is equipped to ace their financial goals. Think coaching, mentoring, and fostering a championship culture where everyone wins.
- You'll set SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) for the team and individual members, identify areas for growth, and develop individual development plans to help them reach their full potential.
- Ensuring Timely Payments & Accurate Operations: Keeping our vendors happy and our financials squeaky clean is your game. You'll oversee the smooth running of the entire accounts payable function, managing payments, bank allocations, and streamlining the onboarding process for new suppliers. You'll have an eagle eye for detail to ensure everything is accurate and efficient.
- Unleashing the Power of Data: We're not just number crunchers; we're data detectives You'll work with our Business Intelligence team to uncover hidden trends in stock purchases, supplier payments, and more. Think cost savings, early payment discounts, and maximising every penny we spend. By analysing data, you'll identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce carrying costs, and optimise inventory management strategies.
- Collaboration is King: You'll be the go-to finance guru for our Product and Purchasing teams, partnering on strategic decisions, identifying process improvements, and building rock-solid relationships that drive the business forward.You'll provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making related to potential acquisitions or new market entries, fostering improved relationships by sharing goals, risk frameworks, and tracking and maintaining vendor financials (e.g., rebate agreements and payment terms).

This will involve regular communication, transparent information sharing, and a focus on building mutually beneficial partnerships that contribute to the overall success of the organisation.

**Do you have the skills to pay the bills (and more)?**
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable and leading a team
- A knack for creative problem-solving and thinking outside the box
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- IT proficiency (think pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, and dashboards)
- A self-motivated go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to hold yourself and others accountable for results
