**Product Designer / Design Engineer**

**Location: Macclesfield, Cheshire**

**Salary**:£25k - £35k DOE**

Our client currently have a fantastic opportunity available for a driven and creative **Product Designer** or **Design Engineer** to join their Design team. Working with the Design team, designing and preparing products for manufacture to be used in Point of Sale and Lottery.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Designing components and products for the retail environment
- Sketching
- Concept development
- CAD
- Realistic rendering
- Prototyping
- Testing
- Artwork preparation
- Preparing engineering drawings
- Preparation of production files
- Project lead and ownership
- Product handover and sign off with production team
- Supporting the design team in concept development from briefs supplied
- Buildings and preparing presentations for sales presentations
- Keeping abreast of the latest trends in POS design and manufacture
- Presentation creation

**Experience Required**:

- Experienced using Solidworks, CAD
- Drawing components and assemblies
- Engineering drawings
- Realistic rendering
- Overview of adobe products like Photoshop and Illustrator
- Used to working on Microsoft office
- Portfolio examples of previous work to date
- Experience of 1+ years in a similar role (manufacture, engineering, design)
- Knowledge of manufacture and production processes important
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
