CARETAKER

GRADE 2 SCP 6
37 hours per week
£25,989 per annum

Required for September 16th 2025 or as soon possible after this date.

Following the resignation of our current caretaker, we are now looking for a replacement.

We are looking for a caretaker who can:

- Manage the general upkeep of the school buildings, undertaking minor repairs, redecoration and maintenance
- Be responsible for the opening and closing of both sites of the school and undertaking regular security checks, including being the first key holder for out of hours emergencies
- Oversee the efficient working of the school’s lighting, water, heating, fire and alarm systems, advising on matters relating to energy control and conservation
- Assist in the management and operation of lettings
- Assist in safety audits of the premises and comply with Health and Safety guidelines at all times
- Show initiative, commitment and a willingness to develop in the role
- Actively contribute to the ethos and aims of the school
- Have a willingness to get involved in school activities
- Support and assist with traffic management initiatives
- Help maintain and develop the school grounds
- Be responsible for a team of cleaners and daily cleaning of agreed areas

A full driving licence and own transport is preferred but not essential for the post.

This post requires an Enhanced and Barred DBS Check

What will be your hours?
- 6:30 am - 10:30 am
- 2.30 pm - 6pm (5.30pm on a Friday)
- Holidays cannot be taken during school term time.
