**About the Role**:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate tutor to provide face-to-face, 1:1 support for a Year 11 student preparing for GCSEs in English and Maths. The student has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and anxiety and is currently undergoing the EHCP process with identified Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping the student build confidence, overcome learning barriers, and achieve their academic goals in a supportive and nurturing environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver tailored face-to-face 1:1 tuition in GCSE English and Maths, adapting lessons to the student’s individual needs.
- Create a safe, encouraging, and anxiety-free learning space.
- Build rapport and boost the student’s confidence, particularly in scenarios resembling group or classroom settings.
- Track the student’s progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the tuition provider.
- Support the student’s development in both expressive and receptive communication skills.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience tutoring GCSE English and Maths (essential).
- Experience working with neurodivergent students, particularly those with ASD and SEMH needs (preferred).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to nurturing the student’s academic and personal growth.

**Desirable**:

- Knowledge of EHCP processes and aligning tuition with identified needs.
- Experience in supporting students with social anxiety and delayed expressive/receptive communication needs.
