Benefits Assessor

_Are you experienced in Benefits and Council Tax Reduction Claims and looking for an exciting new opportunity?_

**Spencer Clarke Group** are looking for several experienced**Benefits Assessors** to work within the **Housing and Planning Sector** for **Cheshire West and Chester Council.**

**Please note that this job role is fully remote working.**

**As a Benefits Assessor you will be responsible for**:

- Maintaining accurate customer records on the council’s on-line computer systems.
- Undertaking work on the assessment of all types of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefits.
- Processing all work allocated by the Benefits Team Leader.
- Assessing Housing and Council Tax Benefits in accordance with legislation.

**As a Benefits you must have the following**:

- Experience in processing benefits and council tax claims.
- Local Authority/Public Sector experience.
- Experience of Overpaid benefits recovery.
