**ME -Manufacturing Engineer** **£32,000 - £40,000 DOE** **Permanent** **Pulborough** Raise the standard documentation (ECN, NCR) for the resolution of technical, material or workmanship issues, coordinate repairs and replacements. Drive improvements that will see a sustained reduction in the number of events. Ensure production can continuein a timely manner without compromising safety or quality. Produce assembly documentation in VKS visual instruction system. Create and maintain electronic assembly books (graphics embedded with notes and checks) to cover entire process from kitting throughto despatch for new and existing products. Provide expertise within New Product Introduction (NPI) team. Ensure an effective introduction of new products into production by working closely with both Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing, scrutinise and challenge any assumptions made so that new products are designed for manufacturability and meet all design guideline requirements. Champion best design for manufacture processes at the earliest stages in the design process. Coordinate the smooth transfer from design to production with tooling, assembly processes and documentation. Implementation of agile manufacturing methodologies and techniques companywide, be instrumental in introduction of new tooling/jigs/fixtures or assembly aids and operator training needs to ensure the most efficient production methods are employed. Propose equipment and practice improvements that would benefit manufacturing efficiency, reliability, consistency, and sustainability. Promote standardisation in all manufacturing areas, workstations, tooling, storage and ESD protection. Includes equipment selection, procurement, and installation. Identify, facilitate, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Involvement with the TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) platform function. Compile new product assembly Routes the EPR system (Glovia)with operation stages and associated data such as assembly and test timings. Maintain the Routings for existing products Actively participate in multi-department teams (QA, Engineering, Purchasing, EHS) where Manufacturing Engineering expertise is required. Projects, Investigations, Reports and Studies. **EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** Degree/HND or HNC in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or closely related discipline. Considerable experience in a Manufacturing Engineering or closely related discipline with a track record of manufacturing process improvements. - Hands-on ability with a "can-do" attitude. - Agile thinking skills, quick learner, logical thinker with good attention to detail. - Highly motivated, self-starter with methodical problem-solving skills. - The ability to motivate and influence others. - Keen interest in technical matters. - Verbal and written communication skills to present Manufacturing Engineering views. - Computer literate.
