Job Title: VWG Technician
Location: Herefordshire
**Salary**: £30,838 (Guaranteed Minimum) OTE of up to £50,000
Hours: Typically, Monday - Friday between the hours of 7am-8pm with occasional weekends

**This is the job** You’ll have the open road as your office. We make sure that VWG customers and AA members receive the level of service required wherever they need it, whenever they need it. Because of this, you'll be required to work shifts, which could include evenings,weekends, and bank-holidays.
As a VWG Technician working for the AA, you will use your specialist expertise and state-of-the-art technology along with VWG’s very own diagnostic equipment to ensure our prestige customers are back on the road safely and quickly.
Our VWG Technician attend all breakdowns as requested by the Operations Centre within the requisite time. To attend all repairs efficiently, competently, and to the correct standard. To maintain and develop skills in all aspects of repair, service, and maintenance.To make full use of all equipment and training provided to ensure maximum roadside repair rate. To inform the Operations Centre of the outcome of each job to request further assistance if required.
**What will I be doing?**:
- To ensure that the service provided to the customer is of the highest standard in keeping with the brand image and the company’s standards.
- To ensure that the Customer Service Vehicle is correctly maintained and serviced, and to ensure this is done at a time which minimises 'down time’. To ensure that the interior and exterior of the vehicle are always clean and tidy that all parts and equipmentare on board.
- To ensure that stocks of required parts and tools carried in the Customer Service Vehicle are always at maximum levels and to monitor parts usage to ensure the correct levels are maintained. To proactively manage parts stocks in line with the real requirements.
- To provide, when requested, technical assistance on the telephone to recover Operators, customers, and co-ordinators.
- Maintaining to a high standard of serviceability and cleanliness for all equipment.
**What do I need?**:
- NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and have current garage experience
- A good knowledge of electrical, fuel and ignition systems of vehicles is essential as is the proficient use of a multi-meter and other garage diagnostic equipment. Need to be familiar with operating computers as all our breakdown teams obtain technicalinformation, guidance, and work allocation through a roadside laptop computer.
- Need to hold a full valid driving licence covering B or BE categories
