**IT Infrastructure Support Technician | Chorleywood, Herts | Full Time | £30,000 to £45,000 per year depending on experience**

Maxnett provides a comprehensive range of outsourced IT services to SMEs across the South East.

Your role will involve solution design, configuration and deployment, as well as on-site project & support work. The job also involves remote management and administration which allows for some hybrid working where this is practical. The team is small, friendlyand supportive.

**Are you the right person for us?**

To be considered for this role you will need:

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a positive attitude
- Excellent written and spoken English, to 1st language standard
- **To live within reasonable commuting distance of Chorleywood, Herts**:

- A full car or motorcycle license and access to your own vehicle

At least 4 years’ experience with the following technologies is **required**:

- Server Hardware
- Windows Server
- MS Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
- Microsoft Office 365
- TCP/IP/Networking (routing, VLANs, ethernet)
- Microsoft Hyper-v /Vmware
- Firewalls/Switches/Routers
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft SharePoint (basic)
- Microsoft PowerShell
- Linux Operating Systems (basic to intermediate)
- Remote Management and Monitoring Systems

**What will your role as an IT Infrastructure Support Technician look like?**
- Work with the team to design solutions to satisfy the needs of customers
- Troubleshoot technical issues, in person and remotely, including help desk operations
- Serve as an escalation point for complex support issues
- Configure and deploy hardware, and networking equipment
- Implement, test, and monitor IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
- Manage relationships with third party vendors as required
- Set up and manage user subscriptions and accounts
- Windows Desktops - Troubleshooting and assistance for users, including: Office Packages, hardware issues, and general software issues
- Windows Servers - Knowledge of creating users from scratch, deploying new Servers, configuring roles on servers in a best practice manner. Windows server technologies including: ADDS, DHCP, DNS, File Services, RDS
- Virtualisation Experience - primarily Hyper-V but some VMware
- Microsoft 365 and Azure/Intune administration experience
- PowerShell (and other scripting languages) experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to communicate technical issues to all levels
- Experience with SharePoint an advantage
- Excellent networks skills
