Our client, a leading manufacturing business, is looking for CNC Machinists for their newly refurbished, state of the art facilities in Leicester. The roles are a result of the company’s predicted growth over the next few months. This is an exciting opportunityto join a rapidly growing business that has recently secured some long-term contracts with large clients.
**CNC Machinist**
**Job Specification**:

- Setting and operating CNC Lathes or Milling machines.
- Using and controlling CNC programs according to relevant procedures.
- Reading and understanding all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation.
- Being able to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
- Understanding varying set up parameters and their effects on the process (i.e., datum setting, tool length, wear offsets).
- Reading and understanding the requirements on the Job Card for the operation to be completed.
- Reading and understanding all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation.
- Carrying out in process inspection in accordance with relevant inspection plans to ensure conformity.

**CNC Machinist**
**Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications**:

- Ability to set and operate CNC machines (at least 2 Axis)
- Experience machining complex components (ideally within aerospace, automotive, defense, etc.)
- Well-versed machining metals or alloys.
