**Job Profile**:
We require an ambitious Financial Controller for our expanding renewable energy company who is determined to play a significant role in the shaping of our growing international company. We have always been innovative in creating a sustainable future by helpingour commercial customers save on electricity costs and reduce their carbon footprint. Reporting to the Directors you will take full control of the Financial/Accounting activities for this expanding business. Key tasks will include Month/Year end accounts production,budgets/forecasting, cash control, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll and ledger management, VAT reporting and other adhoc tasks.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Managing and planning financial activities, implementing cash management strategies and determining the level of profitability of the company on a monthly basis.
- Preparing reports which summarize and forecast company’s business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations.
- Ensuring that the financial records are accurately compiled on a monthly and annual basis.
- Act as a first point of contact for the HMRC and other regulatory agencies.
- A key resource in costing future projects and post project analysis
- Managing and planning business critical cash requests
- Multi departmental budget collation and control
- Develop and maintain thorough financial procedures for the organization including staff payroll, Inland Revenue, National Insurance and pension systems, invoice/payments etc..
- Ensure all finance records are kept accurately and securely and in line with legislative requirements and that there is fiscal responsibility within the company’s operations.
- Ensuring that the decision makers in the company understand the financial implications of the decisions made for the business.
- Attend supervision, team meetings, training and other meetings as required.
- Manage members of staff in line with company’s policies, procedures and ethos.
- Maintain effective working relationships with company’s external partners.
- Work towards the achievement of company’s strategy and annual business plan.
- Undertake other duties as your line manager should require in keeping with the responsibility of the post.

**Essential Skills/Experience/Qualification Required**
- At least 5 years experience in a Financial Controller/Company Accountant role
- Either ACCA, CIMA or qualified by experience
- Experience in the renewable or construction industry would be advantageous
- Experience with internal Audits and Hosting External Audits
- Knowledge of inventory/stock control.
