**RETAIL SALES ASSISTANT (Full time 40 hours/week*)**

Our team at Blakemere (nr Northwich, Cheshire) is continuing to develop and we’re looking to recruit an experienced, full time* sales assistant who's passionate **and knowledgeable** about running and cycling and who’s keen to share their passion by contributing to the delivery of a world class customer experience.

If you are outgoing, enthusiastic, have a great working knowledge of bicycles and a keen interest in our cycling and running products, and if you excel at achieving face to face sales this might be the perfect role for you

**Job Details**:
A permanent full time, role of _**up to**_ 40 hours per week delivered over 7 days on a rotating shift pattern and including weekends and bank holidays (on rota, typically working 5 days out of 7), with occasional evenings to support seasonal opening.

Annual leave entitlement of 28 days per annum inclusive of bank holidays (pro rata for part time).

As part of a small team, commitment and flexibility are essential.

**Salary Expectations**:
Starting salary will be £21,840 per annum (based on £10.50/hr and pro rata for part time.)

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Greet clients with enthusiasm and establish rapport to quickly and efficiently identify their needs
- Establish customer needs and product preferences, identify and discuss appropriate products
- Demonstrate products instore and seek out opportunities to upsell and cross sell where possible
- Close sales and promote after sales services
- Support fulfilment of online orders and work with the team to respond to customer enquiries received via the company website
- Maintain shop floor displays, stock and storage areas
- A trusted key-holder
- Other store duties as directed by the store manager.

**Essential Skills**:

- Experience of working in a customer service environment
- Great communication skills
- Create a great impression by acknowledging and approaching customers who come into our store with enthusiasm.
- Be a team player, self-motivated and able to use own initiative
- Personal experience of cycing and/or running and and enthusiastic about the products we sell
