Bowmill Engineering and Bowmill Metal Treatments are privately owned businesses operating predominantly in the global aerospace sector and employing around 130 staff at facilities occupying more than 72,000 sq.ft. in Poole, Dorset and in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. Now operating 3 factories in Poole, a treatments facility and in 2016 a new facility in Tewkesbury. The company relates its success in terms of quality, reliability and subsequent growth to its policy of only employing skilled self-motivated personnel.

Bowmill Poole is currently seeking an experienced **Head of Finance.**

Responsibilities will include;
- Providing financial support to the business to ensure that the company meets its financial and statutory regulations and supporting the group’s development and its strategic goals
- Oversee preparation of monthly management accounts to compare with budgets
- Oversee the preparation of the company’s annual financial accounts to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time.
- Develop and control the company’s annual operating budgets and forecasts to ensure that all financial targets are met.
- Analysing and reporting on financial performance.
- Maintain relationships and communications with banking institutions and the group’s auditors.
- Responsibility for ensuring access to funding for both current and capital expenditure through banks and other lenders.

What we are looking for;
- Qualified accountant
- Significant experience in similar role
- Experience working with SME type business
- Experience working in the manufacturing sector
- Potential to develop to CFO role in short to medium term future
