**Job Overview**:
Live Well North East are looking to employ a Children and Young Person and SEND Lead as part of the charity’s National Lottery funded mental wellbeing project.

Working as part of a growing community rooted charity, you will promote, implement and support the development of inclusive, accessible, and engaging services, providing a person-centred, holistic approach to optimum wellbeing for all.

You will deliver Children and Young People and SEND wellbeing services and interventions within community settings and in partnership with other organisations.

This role includes direct delivery as well as office-based planning, reporting and partnership work.

**Delivery Duties**
- Plan and lead sessions for goal based mental wellbeing interventions for children, young people, SEND (CYP/SEND) experiencing mild to moderate emotional wellbeing needs across multiple sites in the community, educational settings and other external settings e.g. other community groups, partnerships, statutory services.
- Plan and lead interventions in the community, educational settings and other external settings e.g. other community groups, partnerships, statutory services. for children, young people, and SEND experiencing complex needs including LAC and families; neurodiversity; substance misuse in the family; diagnosable mental health needs such as anxiety and depression; ACES/trauma; domestic disruption/family breakdown.
- Delivering events and information sessions within a community setting and in other external settings.
- Early identification of emerging needs and/or escalating challenges/difficulties, and responding in collaboration with children, young people and families, and where appropriate, other professionals with relevant interventions and/or signposting to other services.
- Engage the voices of children and young people and their community.
- Implement venue risk assessments and protocol for multiple sites.
- Manage resources efficiently with adherence to policy.
- Build strong relationships, with stakeholders and CYP supporting the wider work in the community.
- Maintain attendance records, produce activity plans and session evaluations.
- Where applicable, supporting the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of community coaching care plans.
- To communicate in a skilled, sensitive and effective manner with children, young people and families involved in services.
- Communicate effectively with children, young people and their carers, when in crisis and in challenging family situations.
- Be aware of, identify and support clients’ overall wellbeing, being aware of factors such as physical health, mental health, social wellbeing, financial/economic wellbeing.
- Signpost and suggest other activities at The Live Well Centre and other local organisations that might be appropriate for clients.
- Welcome clients, support completion of registers/sign in sheets, operate the till to take payments for classes and membership passes.
- Opening and locking up buildings and ensuring sessions are set up and taken down appropriately, leaving delivery sites safe, tidy and clean.
- Responsibility for ensuring the correct supervision of CYP within sessions.
- Lead CYP/SEND coaches within sessions, ensuring coaches are aware of their roles and responsibilities during sessions.

**Networking and Partnerships**
- Supporting partnership relationships, including attending networking meetings and other partnership meetings; delivering presentations and information sessions; communicating with local statutory providers (inc. primary care network, social prescribing link workers, public health, etc.)
