This is an exciting role front of house, working closely with clinical colleagues to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care.
The role requires someone who has a great level of attention to detail and good organisational skills for managing in a busy environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential for dealing with colleagues, patients and families.
The needs of the service user will be the utmost priority. The principle of high quality customer care is at the heart of this role.
**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
Provide general reception duties for patients and visitors arriving within the department.
Provide a welcoming, friendly, courteous and efficient service to all.
Provide administrative support to facilitate the patient's progress through the hospital system.
Maintain patient record systems providing confidential, accurate and up to date information.

NVQ 2 or equivalent experience

Proven experience in a receptionist role, dealing with non-routine procedures and practices
IT skills

Previous knowledge of working a Customer Service environment
Previous knowledge of working in the NHS
Previous experience of working in a Hospital environment
