We are going through an extremely exciting time as the National Fostering Group takes the step to become independent of Outcomes First Group. We are looking for an experienced Data Protection professional to lead our small Data Protection function and ensure we are compliant with GDPR, Data Protection Act and the Duty of Confidence. As the company’s nominated Data Protection Officer, you will assist the CFO and Quality Director in reporting and overseeing insurance claims, acting as the ‘go between’ between the Fostering Group and insurers. You will ensure that our insurance advisers and insurers have the necessary information to manage all claims effectively and that they are promptly notified of any issues that could give rise to a claim in the future. You will have 2 direct reports and will work as a team to ensure that regulatory filing for Companies House and Ofsted is always maintained and kept up to date. A full list of responsibilities can be found in the attached job description. **To be successful in this role you will need**: **Essential** - Previous experience of being a company’s designated Data Protection Officer (DPO) - Strong understanding of data protection law and regulatory requirements - Good communication skills - Willing to roll your sleeves up and support as you will be a small team **About the Group** The National Fostering Group is the pre-eminent independent fostering group in the UK, operating 32 agencies with coverage right across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
