**The Company**

My client, based in North Lincolnshire, are a highly reputable privately-owned manufacturing & retail organisation with a clear business strategy to become the market leader in its field. The business is experiencing extraordinary growth and the need has arisen to recruit a highly competent and exceptional Finance lead to support the Financial Director and wider Executive management team in all areas of financial reporting.

**The Role**

Heading up the UK Finance Function you will work closely with the Finance Director ensuring tight financial control, timely and incisive management reporting in addition to supporting the Executive team on many financial and strategic projects.

**Responsibilities**
- Management of the local Finance function, involved in setting objectives, mentoring and performance reviews.
- Preparation and consolidation of accurate weekly and monthly management accounts with commentary and comparison to budget.
- Preparation of board packs for monthly review ensuring all input is consolidated accurately and effectively.
- Prepare and conduct the monthly balance sheet review.
- Preparation of weekly cash flow financial forecast.
- Review, plan and implementation of systems, processes and controls improvements encompassing all areas of finance.
- Preparation of VAT and appropriate returns and payments to meet HMRC and other statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements including year-end files and liaison with auditors.
- Enhance existing controls, processes and procedures system reports ensuring compliance with external reporting requirements.
- Ensure accounting policies comply with the relevant accounting standards and company policies are followed.
- Provide analytical review of both financial and non-financial external returns and financial accounts.
- Provide financial support to the business management teams & budget holders.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects as required by the Finance Director specifically around strategy, business planning and financial forecasts.

Qualified ACA/CIMA or ACCA with a demonstrable track record of building and maintaining robust financial controls and processes in a fast-paced organisation. Highly numerate you will possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor, collaborate and communicate with people of all levels of seniority. You will have proven analytical and reporting skills through advanced knowledge of Microsoft excel in addition to possessing excellent organisational and time management skills as well as attention to detail. This is a highly visible role and would suit an individual looking to equip themselves with the skills to step up to Finance Director in due course.
