As a service we are always striving to improve the experience and treatment for our young people and families. Meeting the needs of the community, requires continuous reflection and reviewing. Using research, evidence based information, patient feedback and I WANT GREAT CARE, enables us to meet this need.
The Wellbeing of our Administrative and Clinical staff is top of our agenda. We have a Wellbeing Team, who focuses on nurturing our wellbeing. This has led to supportive structures being placed into working hours and activities for outside of working hours. We have a strong policy of collaboration and team working.
The South CAMHS service is a friendly team that aspires to provide an excellent standard of service and care to our community. We are proud to say that we have a culture of shared respect, shared learning and shared development.
The main office is based at the Clockhouse in Abingdon on Thames. Abingdon is a market town conveniently situated 3 miles from Didcot with its train links, 2 miles from the A34 and 5 miles from the historic city of Oxford. The role will also include working within other community sites, such as Raglan House in Cowley.

- New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
- Employees are expected to undertake mandatory and statutory training related to their role.
