Main day to day job objectives will include:

- Implement and enforce Commercial Policies that ensure entitlements are identified and realised to support achievement of budgetary targets
- Take control of the procurement process through tendering, developing Scope of Works and specifications, contract order creation and issuance of orders
- Identify changes to contract scope via the contract variation process. Develop low value/low risk contract variations at the direction of the Commercial Manager.
- Provide assistance with construction project works to assist with degree studies.

**Main duties**
- To prepare tender package information to produce information that can be submitted to the market to reduce pricing, compile commercial analysis of returns and to compile order /contract information to allow for contract execution.
- Variations (to undertake on instruction from line manager) - To review the scope of work with operations and compile information into standard format to allow for submission to the Employer.
- To generate notices for submission to the Employer in line with the terms and conditions of the head contract, on instruction from line manager.
- To provide analysis of contractor performance and whether supply chain are undertaking their contractual responsibilities.
- Assist with Commercial Audits as and when required, from monthly SLA/KPI Audits to Internal Commercial audits
- To provide pricing support for project work on an as requested basis.
- To manage approvals in line with the requirements of Mitie corporate governance.
- Assist with client and third party contractual claims
**Person Specification**
- Must be prepared to work towards achieving Degree level qualification with eventual goal of RICS Chartered Membership
- Customer care/relationship building skills
- Very strong written skills, allowing for proper submission to the Employer.
- Ability to take complex issues and translate them for lay persons.
- Able to effectively time manage, communicate tasks to be undertaken and work to strict deadlines.
- Be competent in MS Project, Word, and Excel
- Ability to manage change successfully

**Entry Criteria to programme**
- The minimum requirement to join this programme is 112 UCAS Tariff points which is equivalent to:

- 3 A levels at grade BBC
- BTEC National Diploma DMM (1 x distinction and 2 x merits)
- Access to HE Qualification
- You will also need to have 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above
