**Production Manager**required for our well known and highly respected manufacturing client based in Brierley Hill.

Reporting to the Operations Director you will be responsible for managing all day to day production activities within the factory, meeting defined targets for output (incl lead time, on-time delivery), quality and cost.

You will directly manage 3 Cell Leaders and approx 50+ production staff

**Responsibilities & Duties will include**:

- Ensure resource and training plans are in place across the production team, to meet forecast output requirements, also cross-training and contingency planning to maintain production capacity and overcome potential bottlenecks, in the event of unplannedsickness and process disturbances.
- Guide and mentor direct reports and the wider production team, to drive and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and team working in all aspects of production.
- Maintain and develop good relations with employees and the union, through effective and timely communication, keeping staff regularly informed of changes and developments and provide positive and motivated leadership.
- Work with the Quality Manager to set and maintain high standards of operational process excellence at all times. Ensuring that processes are clearly defined and performed in line with company procedures and ISO13485.
- Maintain and develop Health and Safety systems, in conjunction with the Company’s Health and Safety person to ensure that a safe and clean working environment exists for all its workers in line with the Company’s Health and Safety policy and safe workingpractices.
- Use performance data to develop performance improvement plans across the production process, ensuring that information and actions are cascaded through the team.

**Experience and Skills Required**:
We are looking for a high energy / can do Production Manager who is not afraid to get his hands dirty and able to implement effective change management policies throughout the manufacturing shop floor.
- HNC in Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering or a similar discipline
- Working knowledge of MRP Systems
- Ability to problem solve
- Strong interpersonal & time management skills
- Confident to manage
- 5+ Years Production Management experience
- Full UK driving license
- Good PC literacy

**Working Hours**: 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday

**Salary Guide: £45k - £55k** depending on experience + Benefits including Private Healthcare, Pension, Life Insurance
