**Senior HR Officer**
We are currently working along an established educational college who are looking for a Senior HR Officer to join them on an on-going temporary basis based in Oxford.
This position will see you support one of there Scientific Departments.
**Responsibilities**:
- Liaise with the HR Manager and be responsible for all aspects of recruitment, including ensuring funding is available prior to posts being advertised; work with Principal Investigators to prepare job descriptions and adverts in line with their policies;shortlisting, interviewing and acting as a panel chair when appropriate; deal with post offers and salary negotiations, ensure all pre-employment checks are complete including immigration documentation.
- Manage and develop several HR staff to provide a full, efficient, effective and professional HR service to the department, ensuring compliance with statutory and legislation.
- Provide advice and guidance to managers and staff on all aspects of employment such as recruitment, absence and stress management, performance management, maternity and paternity leave, regrading, end of fixed-term contracts, disciplinary and grievanceetc.
- Support managers in managing change within the department, drafting new procedures and handling individual employee relations cases, ensuring compliance, with central HR where necessary.
**Criteria**:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Qualified to CIPD graduate level or above, or have equivalent experience
- Proven experience of managing a human resources operation in a complex organisation
- Experience of building and managing an HR team to deliver an efficient HR service

- Experience of managing performance management cases and providing guidance to
- managers as required
- Experience of operating HR information systems and producing management
**Working hours**: Monday-Friday, 9:00am
- 17:00pm.
**Pay rate**: £34,000k-£42,000 (Dependant on experience)
