**Contract: Permanent - 2 x positions**
**Hours: 1 x 37 hours per week, 1 x 14.5 hours per week**
**Salary: £32,076 - £33,024 (pro rata)**

**About this opportunity**
We are looking for a motivated, hard-working, and dedicated person to join our team as a Child and Family Worker; developing and delivering exceptional service to improve outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and families, working as part of a multi-agency team.
We work in collaboration with all internal and external parties, developing and agreeing on courses of actions that meet the individual needs of the children and families we are working with. We ensure a safe, secure and non-discriminatory environment is maintained, providing a positive experience for the children and young people.
The team base is Carlisle, but you will work across Cumberland.
**The Role**
**Who we are looking for**
We are looking for a flexible, driven and compassionate person, who has the ability to adapt to both the individual needs of the children, young people and families, but who can also provide solutions and outcomes to any unexpected issues that may arise. You will need to have experience in a people-facing role and work well as part of a team, encouraging integrated ways of working across multi-agencies. This is a challenging but rewarding role, and experience of managing challenging behaviour and working with complex issues is important. NVQ 3 or equivalent in a relevant professional area is essential, as well as evidence of on-going professional development. Knowledge of current national policies, child protection legislation and child development is also highly desirable, as well as an awareness of Attachment Theory and the impact of loss and trauma on children and young people.
