Oasis Lounge by Melaya is a beautifully decorated hidden gem found on Narborough Road in Leicester. We are looking to recruit some like-minded individuals who enjoy the hospitality life, creating a wonderful customer experience and looking to broaden their existing skills. Oasis Lounge is more than a coffee shop or cocktail bar, with theme nights, tasting sessions and private events, we need someone who welcomes a busy atmosphere. A commitment to showcase a variety of brands is important to us as we look to make an impact on the local community, so it is vital that our team members wish to do the same. Previous experience is a must, along with being comfortable at building a rapport, having a sense of humor and maintaining the standards set by management.

Essentials:

- Experienced Barista with a passion for great coffee
- Previous Barista Experience
- Cocktail Knowledge preferred but training will be provided
- Attention to detail and providing an attentive service
- Excellent people skills
- Thrive on challenges and have a creative mind-set
- Maintaining high standards

Main Responsibilities:

- To deliver excellent customer service at all times
- To deliver a variety of delicious products and showcase your passion
- To ensure customer satisfaction
- To assist the Manager and team members in day-to-day operations
- Payment Handling
- Cleaning and maintaining venue equipment

Team Member Benefits:
Starting Salary: starting from £19.000 per year

Our Story:
Named after our owner’s daughters, Oasis Lounge by Melaya is the perfect spot to relax and wind down with family and friends. Our inviting décor of palm tree print, hidden animal statues and golden bar help bring some tranquility to the thriving life of the West End. Opposite Braunstone Gate, this little Oasis has all the best a traditional coffee shop has to offer; with a huge variety of flavoured teas, coffees and hot chocolates, we are sure to have your new favourite. Our bar has a vast choice of spirits, bottled beers and soft drinks, as well as an extensive cocktail menu, so if you are looking for something classic or bespoke, we are happy to get creative to ensure satisfaction. One of the main things about us it we like to give back to the community through charity donations, employing independent businesses where possible and showcasing local products.
