**About the Role***

The University of Warwick is seeking to appoint a full-time, postdoctoral researcher based at the Department of Psychology, as part of the research grant ‘IMPROVE PRETERM-IMPROVing lifelong health and development for children and adults born very PRETERM) funded by Horizon Europe. The overall aim of this project is to improve the health, development and quality of life of children and adults born very preterm by using observational studies and real-world data to generate knowledge to mitigate the adverse long-term consequences of very preterm birth. The Postdoc will be working with Dr Marina Mendonça, the grant holder, Warwick Lifecourse and Neonatal Group (WarwickLNG), and the European IMPROVE PRETERM team. The appointment is for 21 months.

**About You***

This post is a unique and exciting opportunity for a highly qualified postdoc with statistical skills and understating of biological and environmental factors in the development of adult outcomes. The researcher will be working with leading researchers on a joint project across several cohorts that will lead to high impact publications.

If you are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD but have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant at the top of level 5 of the University grade structure. Upon receipt of evidence of the successful award of your PhD, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure.
