We are currently looking for a **Fitter** to join our friendly team based at our Taffs Well Concrete Plant, Cardiff.

**Role Responsibility**:
You will have responsibility for Inspection, Maintenance and Service of a Ready-mix Concrete Plant.

You will be a member of the Maintenance team providing, inspection, service, proactive maintenance and breakdown response to the Ready-mix business.

You will deliver the Maintenance Strategy for your area of cover and best practice by driving a culture of continuous improvement.

You must have a maintenance background with strong planning and problem solving skills ,Also an in-depth knowledge of operational plant, pneumatics and conveyor systems. A proven track record in fabrication and welding is also essential. An NVQ Level 4 and a relevant IOSH qualification would be advantageous but not essential.

The role of** Fitter **is** **a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires:

- Fault finding ability to identify defects and recommend appropriate action
- Good practical knowledge and experience of maintenance systems required
- Ability to assess SHE risks arising from work activities and control risks accordingly
- Knowledge of site-specific SHE procedures and Safe Working Practices
- Working knowledge of plant and machinery
- Basic report writing
