Archivist

**Salary**: 18,450

Location: Hull

Our office support team are working with a client in the legal sector who are looking for an Archivist to join their team. Working in a busy office, day to day will require a strong individual to carry a heavy workload. The position requires a strong communicator and a fast learner to complete daily tasks of a strictly confidential nature. This means a keen eye for detail is critical and strong organisational skills are a priority.

THE ROLE:
The main duties include but are not restricted to:
To archive and retrieve all files and deeds as requested by fee earners and clients

Maintain and update archival database

To liaise with fee earners and directly with clients in connection with the day to day management of their title deeds

To organise external deliveries to clients via specified courier service

To record and receipt all files/deeds collected externally by clients

To ensure, before archiving of any file, that the relevant File Closing Form has been completed by accounts

To allocate the relevant archive number to new files which require archiving

To ensure client's deeds are correctly given the relevant safety deposit number and filed correctly in the secure deeds room

To ensure all archived files are correctly removed from archive and destroyed in accordance with the firm's retention and confidentiality policy

To perform annual audit of systems/process of archiving ensuring files are sequential, there are no omissions, and they are located as per reports on the system.

General admin duties in line with the scope and level of the role
