**About the role**: As part of the Coincover Innovation Lab, we are looking for an all-round UI/UX designer to take on the role of design expert working in an autonomous environment, supporting a growing pipeline of design and innovation sprints. You will be collaborating with engineering, marketing, product, customer, business, and research experts to analyse user/customer needs/wants and use this knowledge in defining useful product features. You'll then work to design usable and efficient user journeys, front ends, and GUIs. You'll facilitate usability tests, internal workshops, and review sprint sessions to refine designs and specifications. You'll collaborate with sprint teams to ensure that MVP product designs and specifications are implementable and correctly interpreted. You are a hands-on influential designer having experience and knowledge delivering in a lean start up environment. Founded in 2018 in with the aim of making owning cryptocurrency safer and more accessible, we are a Cardiff-based fintech / insurtech start up operating in a global market - and you will be in at the beginning, working with us to change the way people accumulate, hold and manage their cryptocurrency. This will be a dynamic, yet challenging role which will suit someone who is focused, embraces change, and wants to make a big difference creating something completely new. **What you'll be doing**: The Coincover Innovation Lab team aims to accelerate and de-risk the creation of new products and services that deliver significant customer value. We have developed a process, based on lean product development and design thinking principles, for running product innovation sprints. You'll be part of a small cross functional team that starts with identifying challenges and market opportunities, understanding customer pain points, jobs-to-be-done, gain creators, developing testing methodologies for hypotheses, and validating findings to deliver a working MVP, a path to production and an onboarded customer. To succeed in this role, you are a hands-on design leader that probes assumptions, provides recommendations, and foster a shared understanding, bringing an "anything is possible" mindset when faced with ambiguous and complex problems. You are a UI/UX Designer who leads by doing and is comfortable with all stages of product development; from early ideation research to initial product definition, from white boarding new workflows to creating highly refined mock ups and MVPs. You are versed at pitching new concepts to internal and external stakeholders and testing new concepts with customers. As the UX/UI Designer, you'll be mostly - Active participation in sprint, in the role of UI/UX designer to deliver validated commercial products to market. - Responsible for leading a variety of UX design initiatives across an existing and new suite of features. - Responsible for design across the team which includes not only product design but web design and marketing collateral and outreach support: any and all visual elements. - Participate in Market Opportunity Navigator sprints to helps zoom-out to understand where to play. - Conducting primary user research supporting the validation aspects of the sprint through observation/shadowing, surveys, interviews and focus groups. - Contribute to the strategy and design of useful, usable, and desirable products in a team environment - Signed off and implemented UI/UX tech resource plan delivering the tools necessary to support the Greenhouse strategy. - Develop in-depth knowledge of the blockchain economy, digital/ crypto asset markets, NFTs, and decentralized finance (DeFi). - Scan the crypto market actively learning about best practices in the crypto journey, sharing knowledge with the wider team to help idea and define product strategy. **What sort of person we need**: - Someone with deep UI/UX design experience in a start-up environment. - A hands-on leader who has delivered the design elements of enterprise software products all the way from the concept phase to a commercial market offering. - You're never tired of lear
