An Opportunity has become available to join the team based in Felixstowe. You will be responsible for leading a small operational team within our Import department ensuring service delivery and customer service to all our Import customers. Previous leadership skills and customs clearance experience are a must.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring effective communication within the team, including those who are remote working.
- Making sure Import operations and final deliveries for dedicated customer are completed
- Daily management and time keeping of all direct reports
- Ensuring all set processes are followed
- Responsible for the safe and effective Port Health process and management for cargo under your responsibility
- Coordinating team tasks reporting any shortfall daily to the Senior Operations Manager, pro-actively assist with any problem solving
- Maintaining and building good working relationships with all customers
- Meeting targets and KPI’s
- Processing aged debt and supplier invoicing
- Leading customer review meetings with the responsible team
- Taking responsibility for all tasks you set, ensuring they are relevant to the seniority of the role
- Coaching and developing the team assisting in any personal development
- Maintaining a positive, friendly and approachable attitude to all staff at all times

**Skills Knowledge and Expertise**:

- Two years experience in general Imports
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Ability to prioritise your own and teams time effectively
- Proactive problem-solving capability
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work to fixed deadlines and targets
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible and open-minded to change, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
- MS Office
