We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our growing team of Parenting Practitioners.
Advanced CCA specialise in Children’s Social Work investigation and Assessments. We are passionate about the work we do; we always adopt a child-centred approach and strive to deliver the very best possible outcome across all the cases we handle.
**The role**
- Undertake direct work with parents and children. Rotating shift pattern within parents’ homes or within the community.
- Working positively and constructively with parents who present with a range of challenges.
- Provide daily evidence-based reports.
- Assist the Independent Social Workers in the preparation of their social work assessments.
- The work will be on a self-employed basis and the working hours may vary depending on the needs of the service and the families you are working with.
- Shifts will include evening, weekend and overnight work.
**The Responsibilities**
- To be completely child-focused and ensure that you can implement appropriate safeguarding measures.
- Responsibility for the supervision, monitoring, and assessment of parents in their care of their child/ren.
- Provide daily written evidence-based reports.
- Challenge difficult behaviour.
- Provide modelling of parenting skills and provide appropriate feedback.
- Occasionally manage difficult and challenging circumstances in an anti-oppressive, supportive manner
**Essential**
- High Standard of oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to engage with parents who may present with a range of difficulties.
- Ability to providing ongoing advice and support.
- Have an understanding of children’s development.
- Ability to work with other professionals.
- A commitment to safeguarding the needs of children.
**Desirable**
- Experience of working with parents and children within a professional organisation.
- Experience of working in the field of social care, health, education, youth work, police or probation.
- An understanding of positive parenting strategies.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance
**Salary**: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
