Based in Station Road, Musselburgh, Eskmills Limited offers fully serviced office spaces in an historic setting - our mission is to help teams of smart people succeed in their chosen business field. One of our unique selling points is our reputation for the personal touch within a bustling business community. Currently with tenant occupancy at over 95% and a working population of 500+ people on site, we require to recruit an experienced Handyman who will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the building is kept to a high standard.

**About the role**

The Handyman role is a versatile and skilled professional responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and decoration tasks on small-scale building services projects. This role requires a combination of practical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure the functionality and aesthetic appeal of buildings.

What you'll be doing:

- Taking metre readings accurately on a monthly basis for the site.
- Carpentry and Joinery: Perform minor carpentry and joinery tasks, such as repairing or replacing doors, windows, cabinets, and hardware. Install shelves, picture frames, and other decorative elements.
- Plumbing and Electrical Assistance: Assist plumbers and electricians with small-scale plumbing and electrical work, such as changing faucets, outlets, and light fixtures. Ensure compliance with safety and code requirements.
- Fixture and Furniture Assembly: Assemble and install furniture, fixtures, and appliances as needed. Ensure proper alignment, stability, and functionality.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of all occupants and team members.
- Client Interaction: Interact professionally with clients, tenants, and other stakeholders. Address service requests promptly and provide excellent customer service.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of maintenance and repair tasks, including materials used and work performed. Provide reports and updates to supervisors as required.

**Salary**: £12.00-£15.00 per hour
