But that’s not why we really love it, Craigies is one close-nit BIG happy family running a farm to the best of our ability, growing amazing fresh food, selling it to our fantastic customers in the farm shop and transforming it onto plates in the restaurant Don’t get me wrong, we’re busy but we wouldn’t have it any other way If you get bored of human company, there are lots of friendly farm animals, happy to share your lunch in return for a natter and they don’t speak back to you.

**Barista job description**

Our baristas are one of the most critical roles in our operation.

In this role, you will be working closely with the whole Restaurant team, as well as the wider team, responsible for the delivery of a fast paced and constant service operation ensuring that we look and deliver our best at all times of the day.

Your job is to deliver a best-in-class operation and to make sure that the world wants to hear about it, about us & learns about what we do. You will do that by being part of an operation and team everyone wants to be part of. Our guests and teams will look to you as a trusted source of knowledge, constantly challenging us all to be better and deliver nothing other than the best.

**What’s in a day?**

Guest Service - frontline service delivery always aiming to continuously improve guest experience and satisfaction.

Serving guests and working cleanly are key components of this role. It is hard work and your on your feet for every minute you are working. Our team put the steps in so lazy people need not apply.

H&S - be aware of any legal requirements regarding health and safety and fire procedures, ensuring these are always adhered to, knowing your responsibilities within H&S, ensure a safe workplace, identify maintenance activity required to uphold standards

We’re offering an exciting opportunity for the right person to join us as a Lead Barista. This role is crucial to our operations, and you would become part of our senior Guest team. Your role will primarily be focused on producing wonderful coffees for our Restaurant, Coffee Shop & Retail operations.

You will work in a supportive & passionate team, who are always striving to learn and improve our offerings together.

**What hours will I work?**

All our team will work an average of 35-40 hours per week, at certain times of the year you may be asked to work more but you will be paid for every hour you are at work.

**What skills do I need?**

An ability to stay calm when the pressure mounts

Strong leadership skills to motivate yourself and others.

First rate coffee making skills

**What qualifications do I need?**

Ideally you will possess the following, but all our team undergo compliance training to tick all these boxes whilst they work with our teams.
- Health and safety and food hygiene certificates / Allergen Awareness

**Who would it suit?**

Obviously, you won’t get far if you can’t make coffee, but to really see some action in the team, you need passion and a love form it. You’ll be someone who performs well under pressure and recognises the importance of motivating & leading junior members of staff who may also be working under pressure.
- At least 18 months experience as a barista (essential)
- Be familiar working within a hospitality environment
- Quick learner who is detail-oriented
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and coffee techniques
- Ability to deliver coffee styles accurately and consistently
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks
