Bowling Equipment Repairer

**Duties**:
1. Installs, adjusts, repairs, overhauls, and regularly inspects electrical, electronic, and mechanical bowling equipment, to include automatic pinsetter, automatic ball returns, speed cradle stops, automatic score and foul units, automatic ball cleaners, hole bores, and lane maintenance machines.
2. Diagnoses malfunctioning bowling equipment and follows manufacturer's maintenance schedules for machines and equipment. Disassembles and replaces or repairs mechanical and electrical components or parts using soldering irons, wrenches, plier, screwdrivers, and other hand tools. Cleans and lubricates machines. Inspects machines and equipment to ensure they are working properly.
3. Conditions, maintains, and repairs bowling pins and lanes. Maintains required records and reports. Initiates request for spare parts, supplies, and equipment. Performs general housekeeping tasks to ensure proper standards of appearance, cleanliness, and safety.

- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment physical examination and audio test. Audio testing is required annually thereafter.
- This position may require the incumbent to work on evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

**Qualifications**:

**Qualifying Experience (MUST BE SUPPORTED IN YOUR RESUME)**:
1. Must have previous experience in the maintenance and repair of bowling equipment which provided a thorough knowledge of the mechanical and electrical principles and operating characteristics of bowling equipment and standard test equipment; **AND**
2. Must have experience reading and understanding schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and manufacturer's service manuals.

**Education**:
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.

**Additional information**:

- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
