**What is the role?**

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Town Planner or Planning Manager to join the successful Land and Planning Team at Persimmon Homes West Scotland.

The role would suit an experienced Planning Manager, Senior Planner or Planner who is looking to take the next step in their career.

**Reporting to the Land Director, the role will include**:

- Producing planning assessments for new site appraisals
- Oversee the masterplanning of new sites and liaise with layout designers, engineers and external consultants
- Organise and attend stakeholder/public consultation events with professionalism
- Coordinate and prepare responses to consultations on new and emerging local and national planning policy
- Provide mentoring and training junior members of the team

**What we need from you?**
- Previous experience working in the private or public sector in the field of development management / development planning. For example, in a Local Authority, Planning Consultancy or with Housebuilder/Developer
- Degree / Masters Planning Degree with an RTPI accreditation and a rounded knowledge of planning
- Ability to adapt to change and to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
- Proactive and willingness to take the lead on own initiative and under mínimal supervision
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
