**Salary - £21,157.50 per annum based on 37,5 hours per week**

We have an exciting opportunity in Cardiff for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our children's residential home in Coryton, Cardiff. Where you will support individualswith complex needs associated with autism.
Ty Coryton is a two-part service that operates with one vision; to enrich the lives of others and nurture a brighter future. Registered as an independent school and children’s home, Ty Coryton is designed to provide specialist education and residential servicesfor children and young people between the ages of 8 -19 years who have a diagnosis of an Autistic Spectrum Condition or associated difficulties relating to the triad of impairments.
You will be assisting in the day to day management of the home and help continue to improve the lives of the individuals we support. You will play a vital role in both the home and wider organisation, acting as a positive role model to both staff and our supportedindividuals.

**A day in the life of a Senior Support Worker with Orbis Education and Care Involves**:
- Supporting children/young people entering the college for the first time, moving between residential units or leaving their current home, enabling them to prepare for the change, and to become familiar with the new environment and responding to any distressthey may experience.
- Assisting in ensuring service scouring standards are maintained.
- Assist in reporting and evidence gathering activities.
- Participate in assessment, development and review of support and care plans.
- Supporting new staff during their induction periods and assist them to become familiar with their role and the needs of resident students, then feedback relevant and accurate information regarding performance to managers.
**To be a successful Senior Support Worker with Orbis Education and Care, you’ll need**:
- Experience in a support environment.
- QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Knowledge of statutory regulations.
- Lead by example and always act as a positive role model.
- Upload company policies and standards.
- Able to understand and adhere to relevant safeguarding.
- Good awareness of conducting Health and Safety risk assessments.
**In return for your Skills and Expertise, you’ll receive**:
- A salary of £21,157.50 based on 37,5 hours per week (days, nights and weekends)
