HSE Project Officer | Pembrokeshire

**SALARY: £400 - £600 daily rate**

3 year project on a consultancy basis

**THE COMPANY..**

Leading energy sector company embarking on an exciting long-term project which will give new functionality to the site and extend the life of the facility.

**KEY DUTIES**
- You will act as the main contact for ICP & BOG Compressor HSE related matters, with a focus on Contractor field personnel safety, behavioral based safety, environmental management, workplace hazards and risk assessments.
- You will be responsible for producing, updating & ensuring compliance with the ICP and BOG Compressor Project HSE Plan.
- Ensuring all plan requirements are executed in the offices and work areas including all projects Safety, Health and Environmental documentation, method statements, procedures, tool box talks, permit backup and training, consistent with site standards.
- Ensuring alignment, interaction and consistency with the ongoing terminal HSE approaches, as required, ensure a strong & visible focus on field contractor safety.
- Required to intervene and escalate as needed any concerns that require investigation or management intervention.
- Participate in Design model and safety reviews.

**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION NEEDED..**

- Significant experience within a Health & Safety role or a role with significant experience of contractor field safety and construction safety, preferably within Oil & Gas sector
- Thorough knowledge on safety regulations, standards, procedures etc. and Permit to Work systems
- Experience of incident investigations, inspections and audits
- Applied knowledge of UK Regulatory HSE framework especially for construction activities
- NEBOSH Diploma Occupational Health & Safety Management or equivalent preferred
- Ideally a member of IOSH or IIRSM or IEMA
- Train the Trainer qualification or similar
- COSHH assessment trained
