Product Assistant

**Clarks has been defining retail fashion for almost 200 years. Just because our brand has an amazing history, though, doesn’t mean we’re not looking to the future. That’s why we’re looking for a new Product Assistant who will help support our Product function in line with our strategic objectives.**

**The role**

You’ll support the process that takes our products through design into production. Working with partners in Design and Product Development, you’ll make sure we’ve got the inputs we need for a seamless development process; you’ll provide administrative support to create, update and issue product specifications and handle any issues that might arise through the development process. When it comes to the cost and margins relating to all the materials and products we use and develop, you’ll be on hand with the necessary up-to-date information and analysis.

Taking ownership of the development sample order process, you’ll be the go-to person for your colleagues and external partners relating to any tracking updates and change requests. You’ll also manage the system that checks that we’re hitting development milestones on time, every time.

As well as carrying out ad hoc administrative tasks to support colleagues in Product Line Management and Collection Merchandising, you’ll create and manage the seasonal product documentation. Working cross-functionally, you’ll have a wide-ranging impact and create opportunities for your own career development in the process. **A bit about you**

You’ll have worked within a Product function previously at a fashion or lifestyle brand—even better if that was specifically in footwear. With your experience, you’ll have a good overall understanding of product development, its milestones and the importance of costs and margin in the process. Able to take a broad view of the whole process and importantly, focus on finer details, you’re up to speed when it comes to industry tools like Range Tracker and PLM systems as well as proficient in Excel and Word.

An energetic self-starter, you’ll be trusted to get on with your work without excessive supervision.
